Dental Implants in Berlin-Charlottenburg

Highest Quality Dental Implants

Dental implants are dental substitutes after tooth loss and require great technical precision to be firmly but gently anchored in the jawbone like natural teeth. These artificial substitutes for tooth roots can support single crowns or fixed bridges or stabilize removable dentures. An implant-supported prosthesis consists of several parts: the implant placed in the jawbone, the implant post, and the abutment to which the prosthesis, e.g., a crown, is attached.

An implant is like an artificial tooth root firmly anchored in the bone.

Minimally invasive implant treatment

The goal of implant treatment is optimal tooth restoration, both aesthetically and functionally. To make sure that your denture fits perfectly, we use computer-assisted technology to check the upper and lower jaws and the bite in general. The digital diagnosis also shows us the condition of teeth and jawbone in detail.

With this digital information, we create a plastic denture model in advance. This model allows us to determine the design and placement of artificial dental crowns. In the case of complex implant restorations, this result also requires 3D planning, which determines the ideal implant positions in the jawbone.

The minimally invasive implant is gentler on the tissue and promotes healing. During the healing phase of the implants, we make sure to preserve the natural gum line with the help of a temporary prosthesis. Then, you wear it until your dentures are fitted. The implants allow to:

Implant benefits

We use ceramic (zirconium oxide), a biocompatible dental material that is also a good alternative for patients with allergy problems. The implants allow to:

  • Maintain and preserve the natural teeth next to the implant: the implants also secure the position of these teeth in the dental arch.

    • Counteract the deterioration of the jaw bone: as it receives uniform pressure during chewing.

      • Maintain healthy gums: in general, where there are “gaps,” the gums shrink. Implants stop this process.

        • Enjoy greater comfort: implants provide such good support for dentures that a palatal plate or lower lingual bar is unnecessary.

DENTAL BONE GRAFTING AND GUM REGENERATION

Bone augmentation makes implants possible when there is an insufficient bone support

If there is insufficient bone support to place dental implants, a bone grafting procedure must be performed. Bone grafting makes it possible to create adequate support for dental implants; otherwise, the implant will have a short lifespan, or it will not be possible to place a dental implant at all. We perform a diagnosis before or during the implant therapy.

Bone grafting stimulates the formation of new jaw tissue. This stimulation is done by introducing materials into the bone, known as augmentation. There are several options. One option is autogenous bone transplantation, for which we take pieces of bone from healthy areas of the lower jaw. Another is the use of bone graft substitutes.

Insufficient bone support in the upper jaw can be corrected with a sinus lift. In this procedure, the floor of the sinus is lifted. If the upper jaw is too narrow, it is possible to widen it by filling the cavities with a bone substitute material, i.e., bone spreading. In other cases, it is necessary to enlarge the alveolus (bone expansion) to make implants possible. Here it is not needed bone substitute material.

A naturally beautiful gum line: the pink and white esthetics for implant dentures

Healthy gums are the beautiful framework for implant-borne dental restoration. If both result in a natural and harmonious smile, then pink and white aesthetics are met. Therefore, it is urgent to consider the condition of the gums before and during implant treatment. We insert your implant precisely and minimally invasive to preserve the gum tissue and the gum line in the interdental spaces. This procedure is gentle for the gum tissue and can promote healing. To ensure that your gums will later enclose perfectly the denture, they are shaped with a provisional denture during the healing phase.

If the gums have receded before implant treatment, we replace the missing tissue with gum grafting. We also perform bone augmentation for complete gum regeneration after significant gum loss.

          IMPLANTS FOR DENTURES

Implants for dental prostheses: quality in planning and fabrication

Our implants for dentures are made in German dental laboratories and BEGO (Bremer Goldschlägerei). They are made from biocompatible high-performance materials, and you can wear them with great comfort.

The dental prosthesis is created in cooperation with specialized dental technicians. Before the implantation, the dental technicians make a plastic model (mock-up) for you, giving you a first impression of the desired result. In the fabrication process of your denture, we take several dental impressions trays. Then, we temporarily attach your denture so that you can test it in everyday life. In this way, we ensure that the denture fits perfectly, saving you from having to reline or remake it.

For the perfect pink and white esthetics: zirconium oxide

We make sure that your naturally beautiful gums are preserved even during implant healing. If necessary, we perform gum corrections. Tissue-friendly zirconia dentures can have a positive effect on the gums. Therefore, we place the dental crowns on individual zirconia abutments, which support the pink color of the gum and the esthetics of your smile.

Implant dentures – fixed, removable, or combined

We use high quality and biocompatible materials to make our implants:

We make single crowns and fixed implant-supported bridges from metal-free ceramic or ceramic-coated gold. In the case of all-ceramic crowns and all-ceramic bridges, the ceramic is fired over zirconium oxide in layers to create a lifelike replica of dental crowns. In the case of electroplated crowns and bridges, there is a high gold content metal alloy under the ceramic.

Removable dentures, such as telescopic bridges, telescopic prostheses, and full dentures, are made of body-friendly metal alloys and high-performance plastics that also contain nanoceramic particles. Implants as additional abutments provide support and enable an improved, tissue-conserving denture design. The palatal plate and lower lingual bar can dispense with complete dentures with click implants.
